Pinewood Derby

This past year, Tom was the Head Ranger for our church's Boy's Brigade (Christian Service Brigade) program. Think Boy Scouts at church. He had a lot of working with the leaders and the boys over the year. In the Spring they have a big event which rotates between a rocket launch or a pinewood derby. This year's event was the pinewood derby. So for 4-5 weeks the boys and the leaders worked on their cars and got them ready to race. It took a lot of work and planning and for it being Tom's first year running I think he did a great job. My dad put a bit of time into helping out during the project. He helped by bringing his power tools in and helped with the cutting and sanding of the cars. He also came out on race day and helped with the race.
