Fall Fun

Fall is quickly coming to an end. Here is a quick recap of some of the things we did.

We had Gopher Season tickets once again and were a bit disappointed by the performance of the Gophers. William got to go to a game with Tom and had a lot of fun. He now watches football with Tom on Saturdays and Sundays. He has a great memory for who the teams are and can identify them by the logo on the helmets.

Halloween was a fun time for everyone at our house. William was very into the trick-or-treating and it didn't take long for Bennett to get the hang of it. We attended the Club West Halloween party the week before Halloween. My parents came over for dinner before trick-or-treating and mom stayed back so that Tom and I could go out with the kids. William was Captain Hook and Bennett was the crocodile. (Our nephew Brandon informed us that the crocodile's name is Mr. Grin.)

Since our trees are still pretty small we didn't have to rake the leaves in the yard. I was planning to try and take the boys over to my parents' house so they could play in the leaves but time got away from us. So one of the last nice afternoons we went outside and tried to rake up as many leaves as we could. We got a big enough pile for the boys to run through and have fun. William was great at raking and Bennett just liked running through them.

The last part of our Fall was William's Harvest Party at pre-school. For Fall/Thanksgiving they have a Harvest Party where they kids get to play games and have a special snack. I was able to go and help with the party. It was very interesting helping out with it. I had a group of 5 students including William that I had to take around to several game and activity stations. The highlight was finding out I had to do face painting for one of the stations. Thankfully I only had to make a pumpkin or a spider for the kids. Then I stayed with William while they had snack. And then went to chapel where Mrs. Tomes told the story about Ruth and Naomi and sharing our food with others.
