Bennett's Birthday Party

Just a few pictures to document Bennett's party from today. Grandma and Grandpa Hawkinson and Selinger came and celebrated with us. We had a simple dinner and then cake and ice cream. Bennett really enjoyed his cake and even used his hands to eat a bit. (Unlike William who insisted on only using his fork to eat his cake at his 2nd birthday.) Then we opened presents. I think William was more excited to open the presents. Bennett just wanted to play with the present that was opened. And then the full-on fighting over the toys started. Bennett's constant phrase is 'my toys, my toys' or 'my taxis, my taxis.' He even stars yelling just if William looks at him. Bennett got some more little people (the airport, a car carrier, and a hellicopter), a doctor's kit, a CAT brand construction truck that makes lots of noise, and pirate stuffed doll, and a book. Thank you everyone who helped celebrate Bennett's birthday.

The Cookie Monster cake was a hit. (And a bit easier to make than the Elmo cake I made for William's 2nd birthday.)Blowing out the candles on his cake. He started to get the idea but then didn't want to try anymore.
