Sick House

Several weeks ago when I started posting to my blog again I said that I was going to post at least once a week. Well, I haven't done too bad with that except that I keep back-dating my posts so that it looks like I am up to date. I know, bad blogger. But unfortunately there hasn't been much going on around here that is blog worthy. We have been doing the typical daily routine. William goes to pre-school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. We have been attending the morning bible study on Tuesdays. And for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to sign William up for swimming lessons on Thursday mornings. Which means that if we want to be on time for everything we have to leave our house by 8:45/9:00 some morning. Which in turn means we have to get up and get ready and eat breakfast before that time.

Meanwhile, I am still fighting some sort of illness. Slowly I have been getting better and feeling a bit better. However, I have been sick in some sort of way since mid-September. And this past weekend William said his throat was sore and had a bit of a fever. I didn't think of it much since I can never tell if he really is sick or just whiny. Then on Sunday he made a comment about needing to eat soft food. Something in the back of my head said 'check his throat.' So I got out the flashlight and checked it and got quite a surprise. His tonsils were almost touching! So off to the doctor's office we went on Monday morning. Sure enough, he tested positive for strep throat. Now he is on antibiotics and feeling better. You would think it would stop there....but, no. Last night Tom was complaining that he wasn't feeling well and even said his throat hurt. I thought he was kindof being a wimp since I have been sick for almost two months and the first sign of something hurting he starts complaining. But then last night I woke up with the worst sore throat I have had in a long while. So off to the Target Clinic we went while William went to pre-school. Yes, we both tested positive for strep throat. So we are on antibiotics as well. Now I am sure everyone is wondering about Bennett. On Monday I had the doctor swab his throat just to check and that came back negative and we haven't heard anything more. So I am hoping that this illness will skip over Bennett and we can all feel better soon.

Oh my! Karin! I am praying for you guys. My mom was just up and said that she had the worst sore throat she has had in years. I wonder if she had strep the whole time she was here.
