April To Dos
Now that we have been in our house for more than a year we are finally getting around to painting, decorating, and finishing touches. Last summer was spent working on many outside projects (landscaping, the deck, a small retaining wall) so now we are ready to work on the inside. We painted William's room after he was born. We had all the paint and everything ready to go before but he came a bit early so we finished later. Tom's sister helped by painting ladybugs and dragonflys on the walls. We painted the laundry room 'boston fern' back in December. Then earlier this month I painted the powder room 'red red wine.' You can check out the colors here. Both rooms turned out really good but I am too chicken to pick out colors for the other rooms in the house. They intimidate me. I am afraid that I will choose a bad color and then be stuck on with it in a large room that everyone will see. I need to have my cousin or Tom's sister (both interior designers) help me with choosing colors. I have ideas but need their expert eyes to say "yes, that would look good" or "no, don't use that color." Our list of rooms to paint include (and somewhat in this order) dining room/playroom, front hallway, living room, family room/kitchen?, master bedroom, William's bathroom. Basically the rest of the house. Once I have painted I then need to get pictures and decorations up and on the walls. I found this great wallart online and would love to put some somewhere in the house. Any ideas? Now that I have all these ideas all I have to do is start. And I want to accomplish all this in April? All I can do is try...
